With its quick response times, the rescue helicopter can be airborne within 10

minutes during the day and 20 minutes at night, ready to provide time-critical

flights to those in need. Thanks to its advanced medical capabilities, patients can

receive treatment en route to a medical facility, potentially reducing disability

and improving survival. In 2023 alone, the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter

carried out a total of 754 life-saving missions.
